Carnival Auction a Colourful Success

Last Friday, June 3rd, the masks were donned and the colours were out in force to attend the 43rd annual CDS Auction. The CDS Dome was transformed into the colours and sounds of all that is CARNIVAL!

We are thrilled to announce that the Carnival Auction yielded $255,000 toward the Making Connections campaign!

A special shout out to the Auction Executive made up of Paola Fullerton, Kim Nichols, Randee Sorbo and Lesley Stollery, and led by CDS Parents and Co-Chairs, Maureen Ofield and Judy Totten, who worked tirelessly throughout the school year to make the event the success that it was.

If you missed it, be sure to login to MYCDS to WATCH THE AUCTION VIDEO shown that evening documenting the year in review, as well as our Media Gallery for some wonderful photos from the event.

Thank you to everyone for your support over the past several months, whether as a sponsor, donor or attendee!

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
