At CDS, we endeavour to help our students find balance in their lives. To this end, in addition to challenging and inspiring the students in our care academically, another goal for us as educators is to help them be healthy in mind and body.
In order to live a well-balanced life, there are many factors to be considered:
Exercise
Sleep
Nutrition
Lifestyle choices
Coping and resilience skills
Achieving one’s own balance among sometimes competing academic, extra-curricular, family, spiritual, and leisure activities (which should include both social and alone time)
"Being a new student in my Grade 11 year was difficult at first, but I quickly found that both the teachers and councilors were able to provide me with individualized suggestions and a safe place to talk."
The student services team at CDS is truly one of a kind.

Land Acknowledgment
CDS wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. For thousands of years, these have been the traditional lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We also recognize the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and the Haudenosaunee peoples who also shared this land. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for these lands and waters for future generations.
