Ms. Sandra De Carolis

Ms. Sandra De Carolis is a new member of the Board having joined in September 2024.  Ms. De Carolis and her husband, Mr. Jamie Cartwright, have been CDS parents since 2020. Their two daughters are in the Junior School.
Ms. De Carolis is an active CDS parent while balancing a challenging career.  She is General Counsel, Contract Glaziers Inc./Ennova Facades and is responsible for running the legal department across North America in both the U.S. and Canadian markets.  Ms. De Carolis was previously a Partner in the Litigation Department at Torkin Manes LLP where she practiced for over 10 years.

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
