Seats & Scoreboards Arrive in Time for CAIS Tournament

The CAIS Senior Girls’ Soccer Tournament kicked off this morning, with our most recent additions to our campus glowing bright. The two new scoreboards, (one for Centre Field and one at Hawksworth Field) were lit up and provided time and scores to our many spectators who have gathered to watch and celebrate the Senior Girls’ Tournament.
The two scoreboards, along with the new spectator seating at Hawksworth Track and Field were the result of the generosity of our community who helped raise almost $250,000 from Auction 2017! The project included custom designed spectator bleachers complete with seats with backrests and a ramp for limited mobility access and a windscreen celebrating our Cyclone logo. The project, which took over a year to complete, was faced with the complexity of engineering our seats and scoreboards to withstand high winds that are common at CDS and truly highlight why our teams are called the Cyclones!

Now complete, the spectator seats and scoreboards are welcome additions to our community and highlight the power, generosity and commitment of our parent and alumni donors to continually support the growth of CDS. Without the generosity of all of our Auction donors, these new wonderful additions wouldn’t have been possible.

Next, we are excited to see the Traffic Light installation, a project made possible through the generosity of all our donors to Auction 2018! Stay tuned to learn about what project or area of support our Auction 2019 will help support.

These are your donor dollars at work. Thank you and go Cyclones!
