OVERVIEW

The Country Day School is a top independent, coeducational university preparatory school founded in 1972 and situated on a beautiful 100-acre campus in King, Ontario. The school offers a challenging programme from junior kindergarten level through to University Entrance. The campus showcases some of the best athletic facilities in the Toronto region and includes a state-of-the art performing arts centre. A commitment to learning in an educational setting that fosters integrity, creativity and the development of individual purpose is supported by a gifted and caring staff. The Country Day School places its graduates in universities around the world.

There are 760 students of which 84 are in the graduating class. All of our high school courses are honors university preparatory. We enhance both the expectations of success and the course requirements from those expected by the Ministry of Education and Training in Ontario. AP Economics, Chemistry, Calculus and Computer Science are offered. Students carry a minimum of 5 courses and must graduate with 30 courses over a four-year period. The faculty to student ratio is 10:1 with an average class size of 17. The entire faculty has an undergraduate degree in their field in addition to a Bachelor of Education, Masters, or PhD.
