In the spirit of TIFF, CDS will be hosting a special screening of Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age on Wednesday, September 13 at 7:00 pm in the Performing Arts Centre. This widely acclaimed 68-minute documentary is about the impact of the digital age on children and how to help them minimize harmful effects and find balance.
Students in Grades 5-8 will experience this special presentation earlier in the day with a discussion to follow. Parents are invited to view the film the evening of September 13 at 7:00 pm, followed by a Q&A discussion moderated by Mr. Dave Harvey, Director Academics for Middle/Senior School.

This event is FREE and open to the CDS and local community – tell your friends! Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. While registration is required, tickets will not be provided, and we ask that you please check-in upon arrival.

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
