ALUMNI: Roundtable Discussion

Parent Association Meeting Room, Senior School
As part of the data collection process, we will be holding a series of focus groups of CDS alumni who, in an informal session, will aide us in ‘painting an accurate picture’.
As part of the ongoing process to improve our teaching practices, a group of 10 teachers have formed a committee to study how well prepared CDS students are upon entering university, as well as what current university life is like.

The first set of these focus groups will take place at CDS in the Parent Association Room on Tuesday, February 20 and Wednesday, February 21 at 6:00 pm. Both meetings will be over by 8:00 pm, and food and refreshments will be provided.

The second set of focus groups will occur on the campuses of Wilfrid Laurier, McMaster, Western, Queen’s and the University of Toronto. These visits by faculty will occur during the month of March. Specific dates, times and locations will be communicated soon.

Land Acknowledgment

CDS wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. For thousands of years, these have been the traditional lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We also recognize the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and the Haudenosaunee peoples who also shared this land.  CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for these lands and waters for future generations.
