Mrs. Tina Mithra and her husband, Mr. Manpreet Mithra, have been CDS parents since 2017. Their two sons are in the Middle and Senior Schools.
With more than 25 years in the banking industry, Mrs. Mithra is a sought-after financial services expert specializing in corporate governance, risk management and environmental, social & governance (ESG). As Founder & CEO of Genesis Risk Consulting, a boutique consulting firm helping organizations align risk and strategy through holistic and innovative solutions, Mrs. Mithra is a trusted advisor to Boards of Directors and senior leaders of several Canadian banks and credit unions. 
 
Mrs. Mithra is a global designated ESG Director (GCB.D) and Climate & Biodiversity Director (CCB.D). She serves as a Regional Ambassador Council Member for Women Get On Board Inc., and as Strategic Advisor on the Canadian RegTech Association’s Advisory Board. 
 
Mrs. Mithra’s global leadership experience across all three lines of defence at a major Canadian bank, her progressive thinking and pragmatic approach to risk and corporate governance is fueled by her commitment to lifelong learning. She is a thought leader for corporate governance programs as a speaker and facilitator, and serves as Faculty at the Canadian Credit Union Association (CCUA). 
 
Mrs. Mithra holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
