Mrs. Charlene Hayes, Board Service since 2016

Mrs. Charlene Hayes and her husband, Mr. John Hayes, have been CDS parents since 2007. They have three children in the Junior, Middle and Senior Schools.
 
Mrs. Hayes brings extensive volunteer experience to the Board. She was the President of the CDS Parent Association from 2013 to 2014. Mrs. Hayes also actively participated as the CDS Grade Parent Co-ordinator from 2008 to 2011 and also as a Grade Parent. She served as a member of the CDS Auction Committee from 2008 to 2013 working with the Committee on creating a theme for each Auction, menu tasting, and obtaining numerous items for the live and silent auctions. 

Mrs. Hayes worked until June 2016 as the President and Owner of The Light of Hope, bringing awareness to this brand, designing this candle and having this product as a community initiative to raise money for numerous charities. Mrs. Hayes has worked closely with the Canadian Centre for Abuse Awareness (CCAA) for the past 12 years. CCAA helps more than 100,000 people each year across Ontario.
