Teaching is Her Passion and it Shows

Elissa Gelleny ’99 earned her B.Ed. intermediate/senior (Biology/Science) conjoint with a Technology Education Diploma from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador (MUN) in 2006. A senior math and technology teacher by trade, Elissa has been teaching at Villanova College in King for the past decade. She currently teaches the advanced math and computer science courses to Villanova’s Grade 11 STEM students, as well as the technological design courses that focus on pre-engineering/pre-architecture skills development.

Elissa is also heavily involved in extra-curriculars at Villanova, serving as the Head Coach of all of their swim teams (U14, JR Varsity, and SR Varsity) and as the SHAD Teacher Champion for student applicants.
