Support Relay for Life @ CDS

CDS has and continues to feel the devastating impact that cancer can have on a community. On Friday April 27th, 2018, The Country Day School will be hosting a Relay for Life from 3:15-9:00 pm on Hawksworth Track and Field. This Relay for Life event, championed by our students, is a community-based event that raises money for cancer research. Participants register as a team and must have at least one person carrying the team’s baton walking around the track for the duration of the event.

This year, our students are striving to raise $5,000 dollars through registrations and donations and will be challenging our Four Houses (Eberts, Taylor, Ross and Dunlap) to see which house can raise the most.

Everyone in the CDS community is welcome! The link to sign up is www.relayforlife.ca/cds and can also be found on the CDS website at www.cds.on.ca/tickets. Friends and family are also welcome to register!

Please help this student-led initiative and support the Relay for Life.

Land Acknowledgment

CDS wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. For thousands of years, these have been the traditional lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We also recognize the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and the Haudenosaunee peoples who also shared this land.  CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for these lands and waters for future generations.
