NEW Spectator Seating Beside Hawksworth

Have you noticed the hive of activity beside Hawksworth Track & Field lately? New spectator bleachers are now installed and an electronic scoreboard is still to come! Upon your return in September, blue and white scoreboards will be up along the sidelines of both Hawksworth and Centre Fields.

Donations from last year’s South Beach Sizzle Auction went toward enhancing the spectator viewing experience for CDS parent, student and alumni sports fans. #GoCyclones

Meanwhile, this year’s Call of the Wild Auction raised money for a traffic light at our main entrance on Dufferin, also scheduled for completion this fall, and will help to enhance the safety of our community members upon arrival and departure.

Thank you to those who supported one or both of these projects!

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
