Mr. Rob Waldron

Rob Waldron has a love for teaching. He earned his Bachelor of Education (Honours) at the Rolle Faculty of Education at Plymouth University in the United Kingdom. In his years of classroom practice, Mr. Waldron has worked at various schools in London, England as well as travelling to Beijing, China to work in an international independent school. These experiences have helped shape the unique environment that is Mr. Waldron’s classroom.

These experiences have helped shape the unique environment that is Mr. Waldron’s classroom.
 
Whilst working in the UK, Mr. Waldron was recognized as a ‘Leading Teacher’, with a focus on English. He has also worked as an educational consultant helping improve standards in Language in underachieving schools, ensuring the provision of high quality teaching and learning in order to raise pupil achievement. Teaching in Beijing, Mr. Waldron was truly amazed by the traditions and vibrant culture that China has to offer. This opportunity allowed him to develop new skills whilst continuing to enhance his teaching experiences. He is passionate about teaching junior aged children because they always have something interesting to say and their minds are always working. He truly believes that teachers are in a privileged position to shape, inspire, and make a positive difference, to the life of a child.
 
Joining CDS in 2009, Mr. Waldron taught Grade 6 for his first eight years at the School (20 years in total), before taking on the role of K-7 Vice Principal. In spring 2018, he joined the Leadership Team as Director of Middle School.

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates.
