Come and Volunteer at CDS

Our community has always had an incredible tradition of volunteerism within the School. Sometimes that can daunting for someone trying to find the right fit for their time and energy, but we are always here to help with suggestions of guidance. Whether you wish to volunteer regularly or from time to time, there is always a place for you at CDS.

One way for our community to get involved is to volunteer with the CDS Parent Association that always has opportunities for engagement. We encourage everyone who wishes to volunteer to learn about some of the many opportunities to support the School by visiting our Parent Association webpage or contact volunteer@cds.on.ca for more details!

Don’t know what the Parent Association is? Read more here.

Last, but certainly not least, our 46th Annual Auction takes place on Friday, May 30, 2019 and while the date is still months away, we will begin the planning this Fall. If you are interested in becoming a part of the Auction Planning Team, or a part of the one of the subcommittees, please reach out to us at auction@cds.on.ca or learn more on our website.

P.S. Join us for Ladies’ Night on Friday, October 19 – another great way to get to know other CDS moms and enjoy a fun-filled evening of great fare and live entertainment!

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
