Introducing the New Faces in the Junior School

Ann Wildberger

We are pleased to welcome the following new Junior School teachers to our community: Danielle Moore, Isabelle Racine and Jordan Zero.

Danielle Moore joins our Primary team as a Grade 2 teacher with almost 20 years of teaching experience, having worked at Branksome Hall since 2012 and prior to that at St. Andrew’s School in the Bahamas, the TDSB and the YCDSB. Ms. Moore has a BA from the University of Toronto and a B.Ed. from the University of Windsor.

Isabelle Racine joins our Junior School team as a French teacher with 14 years of teaching experience, having worked at Miss Edgar and Miss Cramp’s School as well as a number of other schools in Quebec. Ms. Racine is AIM-trained and has a BA from the College de Bois-de Boulogne in Montreal and a B.Ed. from the University of Sherbrooke.

Jordan Zero joins our Music Department as an Associate Teacher. Jordan has taught choir and band at the Newton’s Grove School for two years. He has a BA in Music from McGill University and a M.Ed. from Medaille College.

We trust you enjoyed meeting our new faculty at last week’s Junior School Curriculum Night and that you will enjoy continuing to interact with these individuals throughout the school year.

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
