Middle School Hosts Friendly Debating Invitational

Last Thursday, CDS hosted its annual Middle School Debate Tournament and were joined by debaters from Pickering, Ridley and Villanova.
In the junior division, Olivia Budweth won first place, followed by Millie Steinmann (2nd place), Diya Mangat (3rd place), and Diviya Amarnath (4th place). The top three team spots in the junior division were also won by CDS teams, with Olivia and Diya taking first place, Millie and Eden Davis taking second place, and Brianna Nichols and Diviya Amarnath taking third place.
 
In the senior division, Averie Easton placed second, and Sarin Gosal placed third. As a team, Averie and Sarin won first place, with Sarah Croxon and Ethan Wahba placing third. Overall, it was an incredibly successful evening for CDS’s Middle School debaters.

Land Acknowledgment
