CDS Parent Association: Call For Presenters & Speakers

The CDS Parent Association is looking to launch a virtual series of Presenters/Speakers to host mini-events for our CDS Parent Community. In doing so, they are looking to poll our vast and experienced CDS Community to find out who might be interested in participating as a presenter.
Do you have an interesting career journey to share? Are you skilled in food preparation or wine tasting? What about technology, journalism or finance? Might you be willing to share your knowledge or past experience with our community?

This inaugural series may take different forms, from live webinars, to pre-recorded segments. Whatever the format, we feel this is a great way to stay connected as a community, while sharing your knowledge and experience.

It is our hope to be able to launch this series in the near future. If you are interested in being considered as a presenter, please reach out to us at events@cds.on.ca. We are also interested in hearing your suggestions for future presenters or themes. Please feel free to send us any and all ideas.

Thank you!

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
