CDS Parent Association Speaker Series: Parenting in a time of COVID

The CDS Parent Association is pleased to present well-known parenting experts Dr. Robert Evans and Dr. Michael G. Thompson for a free Zoom webinar - Parenting in a Time of COVID - on Monday, January 18th.

There is no harder job than being a parent. Nothing else touches so much of a person so deeply or unpredictably, and there is no training for it. With COVID, the pace of life has accelerated, media influences have intensified, and things are less predictable.

Watch the 36-minute recap video.
Although there is now cause for a great deal of hope with vaccines beginning to be deployed, we are not done parenting our way through this pandemic.

Join us Monday, January 18th at 10:00 am for this insightful presentation. Dr. Evans and Dr. Thompson are both psychologists and school consultants, former teachers and former child and family therapists.

We hope that everyone will join us. Please feel free to share this with family and friends and then forward the link when available.

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
