CDS Auction: Will Be Back in 2022, Bigger and Better Than Before

The CDS Auction has historically been referred to as the “best annual event in King.” First held in 1974, this unforgettable event has consistently raised upwards of $200,000-$250,000 in recent years, for a running total of more than $6.1 million dollars over 46 years. More importantly, it has become a CDS community tradition that everyone wants to be a part of.

The event has moved locations over the years, including an indoor riding arena, a barn, a 20,000 square foot tent on the CDS property, and ever since 2013 our Auction has been held in our Cyclone Dome.

The evening features a cornucopia of fabulous camaraderie, food, dancing, entertainment, live and silent auction, and so much more. Our Dome is transformed into a party setting that you need to see to believe. We invite you to click here to see some of the more recent transformations or visit www.cds.on.ca/auction for more Auction information.

Unfortunately due to COVID-19, it was necessary to cancel the 2020 Annual Auction, and we find ourselves in the same situation this year of having to cancel the 2021 Annual Auction.

This is a great disappointment for the entire community, as it is one of the traditions that we all look forward to each year. However, we remain optimistic and excited for what Auction 2022 will bring!

As soon as it is safe to do so, we will bring back the Auction and it will be BIGGER and BETTER than ever before. Save Friday, June 3, 2022, in your calendars today, as you won't want to miss being a part of this unforgettable CDS tradition.

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
