As the weather gets cooler and the days shorter, why not combine your love of reading with an opportunity to connect with other members of the CDS Parent Community?

Following on the success of our Parent Book Review Evenings last year, we are pleased to continue the Book Review series this year. Join us for a virtual gathering on Wednesday, October 27 at 7PM to discuss The Rose Code by Kate QuinnThe New York Times bestselling author of The Huntress and The Alice Network. Quinn’s latest novel is a fascinating tale that follows three female codebreakers at Bletchley Park during WWII.
Enjoy great conversation with other parents, while sipping on a drink of your choice in the comforts of your own home. The evening will be moderated by CDS Senior School Librarian, Melissa Rutledge who will guide us through the review.

Please sign up ahead of time so we may plan accordingly. We look forward to ‘seeing’ you on October 27th.

Happy reading!

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
