Summer School Course Offerings & Registration

CDS Summer School Registration opens on Monday, January 17, 2022. Courses can fill up quickly!
It's hard to believe that June is less than six months away! CDS is pleased to offer the following credit courses this summer:
  • Grade 9 Mathematics (MTH1W) course. As this is an enrichment course, it is strongly recommended that students achieve a minimum A in Grade 8 Math and have the recommendation (signature or e-mail authorization) of their current math teacher
  • Grade 10 Academic Principles of Mathematics (MPM2D) course. It is strongly recommended that students achieve a minimum 90% average in Grade 9 Mathematics (MTH1W), or have the recommendation (signature or e-mail authorization) of their current math teacher
  • Grade 11 University American History (CHA3U)
  • Grade 12 University Advanced Functions (MHF4U)
  • Grade 12 University English (ENG4U)
  • Grade 12 University Studies in Literature (ETS4U)
Summer school will run weekdays Monday, June 27 to Thursday, July 21 (no class on Friday, July 1). We are hopeful that this year we will be able to run a fully onsite summer school program. However, if COVID is such that we cannot, we will, as we did last summer, provide a remote summer program. Students must have the required prerequisite for the course selected and their Guidance Counsellor’s signature. The course fee is $1400 and includes lunch. It does not include textbooks. Please refer to our website under Academics to access the Summer School registration and logistics form. For inquiries, please e-mail maria.huckvale@cds.on.ca in the Student Services Centre.

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
