It's All About the Kids at CDS Summer Camp: Registration is Now Open!

CDS Summer Camp is back for six weeks from June 19-July 28 and the 2023 offerings present a winning combination of old and new. Registration is now open at www.cds.on.ca/summercamp and early bird rates are available through March 31st. We are looking forward to a great summer!
Run under new leadership this year, Camp Director - Madeline Sutcliffe and Assistant Camp Director - Mandy Cronin bring a wealth of camp and coaching experience to the table. Madeline is a teacher and coach in the CDS Junior School and Mandy is the Athletics and Health and Physical Education Dept. Coordinator and a veteran coach. Both are excited to take on this new opportunity, working alongside previous Summer Camp Director, Andrea Leacock, to ensure a seamless transition.

New this year are Baseball Camp and Music Camp, in addition to the familiar favourites, which include a wide choice of sports and specialty programs:

Sports Programs: Multi-Sport, Basketball, Tennis, Soccer and Volleyball

Specialty Programs: Art, Drama, Robotics, Mindbusters (Math/Science Camp), Day Trippers and Leaders in Training (LIT).

Plus Debate Camp Canada will be back on campus for one week June 19-23 for Grades 5-10!

As has been the case since its inception in 2013, CDS Summer Camp counselors will be the main attraction with a number of returning staff (some who are now CDS teachers). Selected based on their knowledge and approachability, counselors have either coached/taught in their specific program or played competitive sports at university and beyond. This breadth of talent helps ensure that campers learn, have fun and really hone their skills in a particular sport or specialty program over the course of the week.

Fun is the name of the game at CDS Summer Camp and enthusiastic counselors will encourage the campers to jump right in on Day 1 with name games and camp competitions to get everyone acquainted. The adventure continues throughout the week exploring the 100-acre property, including the Performing Arts Centre and Sports Dome. And did we mention the yummy lunches served in the Dining Hall?

There is something for every age between SK (must have completed SK this year) and Grade 10 (LITs must have completed Grade 9). Registration opens at 8 AM on Monday, February 6th at www.cds.on.ca/summercamp. Early bird rates are available through March 31st. We look forward to a great summer!

Land Acknowledgment

CDS wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. For thousands of years, these have been the traditional lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We also recognize the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and the Haudenosaunee peoples who also shared this land.  CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for these lands and waters for future generations.
