Based on the Roald Dahl children's book, Matilda the Musical is the story of an extraordinary girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.

This is the first joint Middle and Senior School (Grades 7-12) production CDS has done in a long time. Tickets for our three performances on March 2, 3 and 4, go on sale this evening at 7:00 pm.

The Directors and cast of this show are excited to be bringing Matilda the Musical to our stage! Performances of Matilda the Musical are open to our entire CDS community and the public, and will run on Thursday, March 2 at 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 3 at 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, March 4 at 1:30 p.m.

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
