Ms. Andrea Leacock

Head of Student Life Middle/Senior & Learning Strategist
Andrea Leacock is a passionate educator dedicated to supporting our students' growth both inside and outside the classroom, serving as both a Learning Strategist and the Head of Student Life for the Middle and Senior Schools.
Ms. Leacock's dual roles focus on supporting the whole student. As Head of Student Life, she shapes the student experience outside the classroom by building a comprehensive extracurricular program and collaborating with student leaders to foster a vibrant school culture. As a Learning Strategist, she empowers students to reach their full potential by helping them understand their unique learning profiles, improve organization, and discover effective learning strategies.
Andrea began her journey at CDS in Fall 2012 as an Associate Teacher, quickly transitioning to the Social Science faculty to teach across the Middle and Senior Schools. Her extensive involvement includes serving as the faculty advisor for various leadership groups, directing the CDS Summer Camp, and bringing her passion for sport by coaching three teams annually: soccer, hockey, and rugby.
Ms. Leacock holds a BA with Honours in Geography from Mount Allison University and a B.Ed. from the University of Ottawa, complemented by additional qualifications in Special Education, Guidance and Careers Studies, and her Honours Specialist in Geography.

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
