Summer School

The Country Day School offers students from CDS and area schools a wide variety of summer activities and educational opportunities.

Students looking to advance and enrich their education may select from courses located on the CDS campus or much further afield. Another alternative is to stay local and take part in our summer camp!

We have yet to hear any further news from the government about the possibility of offering an in-person learning experience for our summer program. For now, our default is a remote program. While many educational jurisdictions have already locked into a remote learning model, we will continue to hold on to the chance for live learning this summer. Our faculty has been working hard to ensure that if this is our only option, our courses will provide a highly engaging and educational experience. However, should we receive the green light for in-person learning, we will make our best effort to do so with protocols in place to make a safe and efficient transition. In this scenario, we will offer a hybrid model where students may choose to complete their courses remotely or to select an in-person option at CDS. We will, of course, keep you updated about any changes to the government’s current policies regarding summer schools.

Thanks,
Dave Harvey
Head of Summer Learning
