Campaign Update - Milestone Achieved!

Construction Begins on Phase 1 of New Athletic Centre
We are thrilled to announce that the Dream Together Campaign has reached a pivotal milestone with the start of construction on Phase 1 of our new Athletic Centre!

Site preparations kicked off over the March Break, and this past week marked the beginning of demolition for the familiar Cyclone Dome, alongside the decommissioning of site services. This critical work is necessary to clear and prepare the area for the main construction of the new building.

Parking Update
As this exciting development progresses, there is an expected impact on parking. Fortunately, with improved weather, CDS has replaced the obstructed parking spots with additional parking spaces in the back Senior School parking lot.

The start of construction is an exciting time for our entire school and community. Our focus now turns to securing continued support for the Dream Together Campaign, specifically to ensure that Phase 2 of the Athletic Centre remains a future possibility.

These new facilities promise to have a spectacular impact on the student experience and boost school spirit for years to come.

How You Can Help
You can support this vital project directly by discussing opportunities with Brent Johnston and John Liggett. Another excellent way to show your support is by sponsoring or attending the annual CDS Dinner & Auction Friday, May 29th. Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
