Armaan Patel Commits to Play Soccer for Wilfrid Laurier University

Congratulations to Armaan Patel '26 for officially signing with the Wilfrid Laurier University Men's Soccer team. Stepping onto the pitch for the Golden Hawks as a center attacking midfielder, Armaan will be balancing his athletic pursuits with a degree in Business Communications.
A versatile and dedicated athlete, Armaan has been a fixture in CDS athletics since Grade 8, playing both soccer and basketball, and running track throughout his high school career. Outside of school, he has honed his skills on the pitch playing high-level soccer for the Vaughan Soccer Club and, most recently, Hamilton United U20 OPL.

Armaan was named Soccer MVP for his CDS teams in four of the past five years. Last fall, his vision and playmaking ability were instrumental in helping the CDS Cyclones capture a hard-fought silver medal at the CISAA Championships.

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
