Dreaming of Our Future Together: Athletic Centre Progress & Milestone Update

Excitement is building across campus! Following our Groundbreaking in May 2026, Phase One of our new 58,000+ square foot Athletic Centre is officially underway. From the demolition of our aging Dome to completing underground preparations, momentum is moving us rapidly toward our target completion in late Fall 2027.
We invite you to explore our progress firsthand! Visit our website to view recent photo galleries, groundbreaking videos, and renderings showing what’s ahead for our dynamic new Fieldhouse, Double Gym, Spectator Lounge, and Outdoor Terrace. It truly is a spectacular facility that will benefit all of our students, no matter the grade.

Thanks to the exceptional generosity of all of our donors, we have already raised $22 million toward our $32 million Phase One goal, which would unlock our ability to start up Phase Two of the project. We appreciate this incredible level of support, but we still have ground to cover to achieve our vision and take us to the finish line!

We are confident that you, our parent community, will help us champion this transformative new facility, and we encourage you to contact us to learn more about naming opportunities, discuss giving options, or schedule a personal meeting with our team. We ask all parents to consider making a donation to the Centre. No matter the size, every contribution makes a difference.

Together we can make this transformative facility a reality for our students. Please reach out to us at advancement@cds.on.ca or you can confirm your support today using this link.

Thank you for championing the future of CDS!

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
