Last Thursday, the CDS community gathered together for the 2026 Fall Coffee House. Students came together to perform anything from dance, singing, acting, playing an instrument, or to watch their peers take the stage. Across 16 different performances, the community saw a wide variety of talents. And with the help of the amazing emcees, the night was a huge success.
This year’s crowd was nothing short of enthusiastic. Performances were filled with laughter, joy, and endless excitement from the crowd, and the atmosphere stayed lively even as the night progressed. Thanks to the dining hall, the night was also filled with snacks and refreshments for the community to enjoy.
The performers this year grew more diverse with their acts, with lots of recurring performers as well as newcomers bringing their talents to the stage. This year proved to be especially unique, with it including a dance and a skit from our performers.
On behalf of everyone, we would like to thank Ms. Leacock, Myles Brown, and Sienna Mizzoni for helping organize and promote the night, as well as all of the performers who had come out to bring the Learning Stairs to life.
The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
Founded in 1972, The Country Day School is a co-educational private school offering programs in JK-12 and located on 100 acres north of Toronto in King.
