TEST of our Emergency Notification System - Oct. 9

Whether you are a returning CDS parent or brand new to the school, you are automatically enrolled in our text notification system for snow days and urgent school closures.

To ensure everyone is connected, we will be testing this system on Friday, October 9th at 1:00 pm (a PD / No school day). In the event of a real emergency, it is critical that we all receive a notification.

Thank you to those of you who confirmed/updated your parent profiles. If you have not had a chance, please log into MyCDS and confirm your details (there will be a yellow banner notification for your forms due when you log in). If your cell number changes during the school year, please let our front offices know so we can keep your family informed in the event of an emergency.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
