Interested in becoming a Grade Parent for the 2023/24 School Year?

We are looking for volunteers to act as Grade Parents for the 2023/24 school year!
Grade Parents assist in promoting activities at the school and act as a conduit to our parent community. In addition, they fulfill a wide variety of functions unique to each grade. In the Junior School, their time is also spent in part organizing class parties, decorating for special themes and events.

Please note that submitting your name does not necessarily guarantee a role, as Grade Parents are placed based on the child's classroom assignment, which is not released until August. If we have more volunteers for one particular grade, we will endeavour to offer you another volunteer opportunity instead.

If you are interested in exploring this opportunity, please fill out this registration form. Thank you for your support!

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
