The Grade 12 music class has been working hard on a project throughout the third term. They would have typically presented a live concert, but due to many restrictions and obstacles, this was not to be.
Therefore, the students embarked on somewhat of a musical journey, incorporating all that our music technology programs have to offer. What resulted was a great deal of innovation and creativity in the form of individual podcasts. The students were presented with several tasks. It first began with choosing a solo piece, with piano accompaniment, which they thought they might be able to perform in their annual ISU concert.
The main focus of our podcast was to discuss and analyze a solo we would have performed had the ISU concert taken place. We chose a solo song for our individual instrument with piano accompaniment, and were required to practice and record our solo. Our podcasts contain segments of our performance, and in addition, included on this page is our full solo version. We have spent numerous hours crafting, and recording our performances. We hope you take some time to listen and enjoy!

CDS wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. For thousands of years, these have been the traditional lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We also recognize the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and the Haudenosaunee peoples who also shared this land. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for these lands and waters for future generations.
