Fulford Debate in Need of Judges!

The Country Day School will be hosting the Fulford Debating Competition on Friday, May 5th at CDS from 3:00 - 9:00 pm, and we are in need of judges!

The Fulford Debate
is by invitation only and is open to Ontario Independent Schools. The three-round tournament includes both Junior and Senior divisions.

We are reaching out to members of our community to ask if they may be interested in judging. No experience is necessary and dinner is included.

We hope that you will consider this unique opportunity and come out to support CDS and our dedicated debaters! If you have any questions, please contact events@cds.on.ca.

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
