King Mayor's Celebration of Youth Arts Launches Tonight!

This evening, Thursday, April 7th, from 6-8 PM, there will be an opening reception for the Mayor’s Celebration of Youth Arts at the King Township Municipal Offices, 2585 King Road, King City, ON. Refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome.
This annual youth art exhibition is an initiative presented by Arts Society King in partnership with the Township of King and Mayor Steve Pellegrini. It features art from many of our CDS students, as well as King City Secondary School and Villanova College. All are deserving of accolades for their creative and courageous sharing of their artwork in this celebration of talented young artists of King Township.

The displays will run from April 7th through May 13th, and as of today, the works of these participating schools will also be available for viewing on this website. Be sure to check it out either virutally or in person!

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
