All personal information collected by The Country Day School from prospective families, current families and alumni is stored in a confidential database. Access to this information is restricted to authorized staff of the School. The School is committed to maintaining the confidentiality, privacy and security of the personal information it collects.     The Country Day School uses the information collected during the admissions process to communicate with prospective families, to identify and evaluate applicants, and to determine the effectiveness of our marketing.

    If the applicant is admitted to the School, the contact information that you provide is used by the School to deliver services, to keep you up to date on the activities of the School, including programmes, services, special events, funding needs, opportunities to volunteer or to make a donation, and to keep you informed through School publications.

    If the applicant is not admitted to the School, the information that you provide is retained until you withdraw from the application process.

    All of your information will be stored in a confidential database and/or in secure files located at the School. Access to this information is restricted to authorized staff. By providing the information, you have consented to the use of the information as described above. The School is committed to maintaining the confidentiality, privacy and security of your personal information. Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
