TEST of the School's automated-contact system software

On Friday, February 16, 2018 at approximately 1:00 pm, the School will conduct a TEST of our automated-contact system software. As part of this test, each parent/guardian will receive a simultaneous TEST phone call.
Please note that both contact numbers we have on file (home and cell) will ring. We have scheduled the TEST during the mid-term break while there are no classes, and we hope this will be minimally disruptive to you.

What you need to know about receiving calls sent through this software:
  • Caller ID will display the School’s main number (905.833.1220)
  • The software will leave a message on any answering machine or voicemail
  • If the message stops playing, press any key 1-9 and the message will replay from the beginning
  • There is no action required on your part; we are able to monitor the success of the TEST through the software

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
