Ms. Moon Kim

Moon Kim brings over a decade of diverse experience across the educational sector. Her expertise, built upon key roles in admissions, administration, teaching, and consulting, provides a strong framework for guiding high school students and their families through the academic journey.

As a former Education Consultant, Moon specialized in mentoring high school and post-secondary students in undergraduate and graduate admissions and career planning. She has supported both domestic and international students through the competitive admissions process in Canada, the US, and the UK. She has a proven track record of successfully helping students by applying a holistic approach and ensuring the best fit.

Moon is deeply committed to empowering students to maximize their potential, fostering personal accountability, and helping students define their own path and success beyond high school. She believes student success and wellbeing go hand-in-hand, and she strives to journey alongside students with care and compassion as they navigate their teenage years.

Moon’s credentials include a BAH in Psychology and English Literature and a B.Ed with a focus on School Leadership and Exceptional Children & Adolescents, both from the Concurrent Education program at Queen's University. She is qualified to teach primary through senior levels, with additional qualifications in Guidance and Career Education.

Outside of CDS, Moon is a busy mom to two boys who values community and connection. Just like her open-door policy at school, her home is always open for loved ones to gather and share a meal.

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
