Why Choose The
Country Day School

“Who will you be?”

This is the question we engage all students with.

There’s no wrong answer, and everyone takes their own personal route to reach theirs.

We offer a balanced education to support them in this journey. Every student at CDS receives a curriculum built on an intentional blend of academic, experiential, and extracurricular programs. They participate actively in all aspects of their development to discover their passions and establish a strong sense of self.

This approach—which affords much more personal attention than the traditional “one size fits all” model—helps guide our relationships with each student so we can build an educational path for them that ensures their success.

We take pride in knowing, inspiring, and supporting our students so we can help them become the best versions of themselves. Learn About The Application Process

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
