CDS Summer School Program 2019

It’s hard to believe, but it is already time to start thinking about opportunities for summer study. This summer, CDS is proud to offer the following courses:
  • Grade Ten Academic Math
  • Grade 12 Advanced Functions
  • Grade 12 English
Over the next week, registration forms for our summer offering of credit courses will be distributed to interested students. Extra forms will be available in the Student Services Centre. All registration forms and fees are to be returned to the SSC. The final deadline for registering is January 28, 2019 or the date by which the maximum enrollment of the course has been reached. With this first-registered-first enrolled model in mind, along with the fact that all course offerings remain dependent on sufficient numbers of students enrolling, there is an advantage to registering as soon as possible.

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
