Welcome Home: The Junior School Returns to the Stage

It is hard to believe that the Junior School has produced 20 years of shows in our Paul C. Duckett Theatre! From 2002 until today, there have been hundreds of students, faculty and staff involved in helping to bring so many stories to our stage.
This year, a new troupe of amazing young actors has prepared a very exciting show to share that brings all of these shows back to life. We are thrilled to invite everyone back to school to share in the power of theatre with an aptly named original show entitled Welcome Home: The Junior School Returns to the Stage!

We can’t wait to welcome you all back and hope you will all be able to join us for one of our LIVE SHOWS:

Friday, April 22nd at 7 PM
Saturday, April 23rd at 1 PM

Tickets will become available early next week. Look for the button on our homepage, social media updates, and links in next week’s Backpack!

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
