Join us for a Walk on our Back 40!
Did you know that the CDS campus is situated on 100 acres of beautiful property, and includes approximately 2.5 km of walking trails created through our amazing wetlands behind the school? This property plays an integral role in our Outdoor Ed curriculum, x-country running, snowshoeing and mountain biking programs, and our overall wellness and country feel!
The CDS Campus is spectacular at this time of year, and we would like to take this opportunity to invite members of our parent community to tour our beautiful grounds.
Please join our Head of School, John Liggett, on Thursday, October 20th for a walk through the Back 40. The walk will take place from 9:00-10:00 AM. Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear, as the paths can be damp this time of year.
The walk will begin from the Senior School Entrance at 9:00 AM. No need to RSVP, and feel free to bring a friend.

Land Acknowledgment
The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
