Parent Association

The CDS community has been described as something unique and special; made up of a dynamic, supportive and collaborative group of individuals.

To complement The Country Day School's guiding principles: “Promote Community Involvement” and “Create a Place Where all are Welcome”,

The Parent Association Executive is dedicated to building strong school spirit, encouraging volunteerism and goodwill throughout the community and encouraging parents to participate in school activities by:
  • Facilitating opportunities for parents to interact through community building activities;
  • Enhancing school spirit through active participation of the community in an all-inclusive environment;
  • Fostering support for the school;
  • Encouraging communication and exchange of ideas between parents and the school.
To learn more about the CDS Parent Association, or to find out how you can become involved, please contact this year's Parent Association President Sarah Hepburn at volunteer@cds.on.ca.

Land Acknowledgment

CDS wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. For thousands of years, these have been the traditional lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We also recognize the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and the Haudenosaunee peoples who also shared this land.  CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for these lands and waters for future generations.
