Parent Association

The CDS community has been described as something unique and special; made up of a dynamic, supportive and collaborative group of individuals.

To complement The Country Day School's guiding principles: “Promote Community Involvement” and “Create a Place Where all are Welcome”,

The Parent Association Executive is dedicated to building strong school spirit, encouraging volunteerism and goodwill throughout the community and encouraging parents to participate in school activities by:
  • Facilitating opportunities for parents to interact through community building activities;
  • Enhancing school spirit through active participation of the community in an all-inclusive environment;
  • Fostering support for the school;
  • Encouraging communication and exchange of ideas between parents and the school.

    Parent Association presents: Sarah Hepburn - 'Walking Forward' - Discussion regarding Navigating the Chaos of Life

    Join us Friday, April 21st at 9 AM for an interactive talk with Sarah Hepburn, a writer, storyteller, and consultant. Sarah will share the process she has used and chronicled in her new book, Walking Forward, to navigate the chaos of life using habits as a tool. She will also share ways to get clear on what you want and how you can incorporate habits to move you forward in life.

    Sarah is passionate about living a life of clarity, calm, and confidence. In her book, which launches at the end of March, she shares her proven process to help calm the noise and navigate life’s chaos by using habits with intention. She combines relatable stories and inspiring lessons learned along with actionable tools to create routines that work for you and your family.

    A wise-cracking mom to three teenage boys (two recent CDS grads and one in Senior School) and a self-professed organizational ninja, Sarah relies on her strong intuition, background in corporate operations, and ten-plus years’ experience in the interior design industry to motivate you to discover what’s truly important, and encourages you to take the small but consistent steps forward to confidently achieve the life you’ve always dreamed of.

Land Acknowledgment

CDS wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. For thousands of years, these have been the traditional lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We also recognize the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and the Haudenosaunee peoples who also shared this land.  CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for these lands and waters for future generations.
