Who Will You Be?
The most effective preparation for a life of purpose is a solid sense of self. That’s why our guiding question for students is “Who Will You Be?” If they know who they are, their path in life will reveal itself so they can proceed with confidence and conviction. Contact us today to book a tour or conversation - we cannot wait to meet you!

About
A Journey of Discovery
Founded in 1972 by a group of dedicated parents who saw a need for a co-ed independent school in King Township, The Country Day School has experienced remarkable growth over the past 50 years. But our original commitment to providing an
education with balance
for JK-12 students on our beautiful 100-acre campus endures.

Pursuit of Lifelong Learning
Our youngest learners (JK-Grade 6) develop a sense of self in our supportive and engaging Junior School. Our Middle Schoolers (Grades 7-8) exert independence in new social and academic settings. Our Senior students (Grades 9-12) discover the right balance of freedom and guidance as they navigate their futures.

Education with Balance
We care about each student’s wellness and character as much as their intellectual development and post-secondary preparation. We are committed to offering top academics, athletics, arts, outdoor ed, leadership skills, and character building opportunities, each without compromise. We call this
education with balance
.

Support Country Day
The CDS experience is made possible by the ongoing generosity of our community members who provide vital support for capital improvements, endowment funds, brick and mortar campaigns and volunteer programs. The Office of Community Relations oversees the initiatives and events that benefit and enrich our community and that draw together current families, alumni, faculty and staff, past parents, grandparents and friends.

Education With Balance
Academics
We want our students to be open to different academic subjects and styles of learning. Our faculty are constantly checking and enhancing the curriculum – all with an eye on providing students with opportunities to achieve success.
LEARN MORE
Athletics
Athletics are considered an integral part of the School's program of education. While advocating fitness for life, long-lasting values are also established through team sports; chief among them: self-confidence, discipline, grit, sportsmanship and integrity.
LEARN MORE
Arts
Visual art, drama and music play an integral part in both our curriculum and extra-curricular activities. Students from all grade levels have a chance to participate in our bands, choirs, art displays and drama productions.
LEARN MORE
Outdoor Education
Giving students the opportunity to explore and discover the natural world around them creates a love of the outdoors, fresh air, and the environment. Being in nature promotes a balanced lifestyle and has the potential to improve one’s physical, mental and social health.
LEARN MORE
Healthy Dining
Our Dining Hall is a European Marché-style dining experience to give students the opportunity, in age-appropriate fashion, to explore different options and find a meal that meets their taste and dietary preferences.
