SSC Exam Support

The Student Services Department is keen to work with all CDS students to help with organization and exam preparation. Here is a quick summary of what is available for Gr. 7-12 students:

  • Throughout the month of May, there will be two faculty members available in the Student Services Centre (SSC) Tuesday to Friday before school (8:00-8:30) and Monday to Thursday after school (3:30-4:30) to help students with organization, the creation of study calendars, collecting missing notes/handouts, study notes and general preparation for their exams. Sessions will be on a drop-in basis.
  • All Middle School students will be working on study calendar creation and study notes in their Guidance classes during the month of May; they are encouraged to attend the SSC sessions as well.
  • Subject-specific help, as always, is available from teachers.

If you have any questions about exams and preparation, please contact your child’s guidance counselor.

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
