Middle/Senior School Fall Extracurriculars

By Andrea Leacock
By Andrea Leacock

Middle and Senior School Fall Extracurriculars kick off on Monday, September 8th! Our extracurricular program is designed to create meaningful opportunities outside of the classroom where students can enrich their learning, grow their skillset, explore new interests, build connections, and more.

In order for students to take part, sign-up forms must be submitted by tomorrow, Friday, September 5th at 9:00 a.m. We encourage families to sit down together and look over the options in the new Extracurricular Handbook which highlights all the opportunities available this term.

If any changes are needed after forms are submitted, students can stop by the Senior School Office to see Mrs. Redshaw for support until Friday, September 12th at 3:30pm.

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
