My name is Paola Baldassarra-Juhasz (bottom left in photo), and I’m honoured to serve as the President of the CDS Parent Association for the 2025–26 school year. Our family joined CDS in 2022, and my children are currently in Grades 8 and 10.
The CDS Parent Association Executive is made up of a dedicated group of parents from across all three schools. Together, we are committed to building strong school spirit, encouraging volunteerism, and fostering goodwill throughout the CDS community. In close collaboration with the Office of Community Relations, we support a wide range of programs, including the New Parent Mentor Program, Grade Parent Coordination, Pre-Owned Uniform Sales and event hospitality, such as refreshments at Parent-Teacher Interviews, concerts, and more.
We strive to create meaningful opportunities for parents to connect and engage with one another through community-building activities. Last year, for example, we hosted morning tennis, a cooking class with Chef Richard in the Dining Hall, and evening pickleball in the Middle School gym.
We're excited to once again offer the Walk of the Back 40 next Friday, October 17th at 9:00 a.m. No RSVP is required—all are welcome! Just be sure to dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear, as the trails can be wet.
And don’t forget to mark your calendars for our annual CDS Parent Association Holiday Fair, taking place on November 27th and 28th. This much-anticipated shopping event features a unique lineup of local vendors and products—a perfect opportunity to get into the holiday spirit!
If you have any questions or are interested in volunteering, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I look forward to meeting many of you throughout the year and building an even stronger CDS community together.

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
Founded in 1972, The Country Day School is a co-educational private school offering programs in JK-12 and located on 100 acres north of Toronto in King.
