Chef Richard has earned a place in the Canada Chefs Cup (CCC) Final, Aramark’s national culinary competition that brings together top cooks and chefs from more than 1,500 Aramark accounts across Canada.

Alongside his sous chef, Julia Dela Fuente, Chef Richard has successfully advanced to the final eight competitors. The national final will take place on February 19, 2026, at Centennial College in Toronto.
Should they succeed at the Canadian final, Chef Richard and Julia will go on to represent Canada at the international finals in Ireland, competing against chefs from eight of the sixteen countries where Aramark operates.

Chef Richard is no stranger to success at this level. He previously claimed gold at the Canada Chefs Cup in 2024, also in Toronto, making this return to the finals a testament to his continued excellence and leadership in the culinary field.

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
