Join fellow CDS Parents for our next Book Review on Thursday, October 30th at 6:30 pm. This is a wonderful way to meet new parents, while discussing the newest novel. Whether you are an avid reader, or just enjoy a novel with a cup of coffee we invite you to join us.
The book selected, released in September 2025, is on the Booker Prize Shortlist The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny by Kiran Desai. The spellbinding story of two young people whose fates will intersect and diverge across continents and years - an epic of love and family, India and America. tradition and modernity.

The group meets on a monthly basis, with book choices being made by the group. You do not have to commit to the full year, you may join us for just this review - the choice is yours. Please do let us know ahead of time, so that we can plan for numbers. Happy reading!

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
