Grade 10 Visual Design Class Assists with drama Prop

As part of their Stage and Production Design unit, students in Ms. Castellan’s Grade 10 Visual Design class contributed their artistic flair to promoting the Middle School production of Circus Olympus!

Breaking into smaller groups, they designed a large-scale, carnival-themed photo cutout mural to be displayed in the Di Ciano Atrium ahead of the play’s November 13-15 run.

This mural serves as an interactive piece of scenic design that both promotes the show and provides a fun photo opportunity for audience members before each performance.

The show opens two weeks from tomorrow. Have you bought your tickets yet?

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
