Junior Provincial Public Speaking Championships - Saturday, January 17th

Community judges needed! On Saturday, January 17th, CDS will host the Junior Provincial Public Speaking Championships. Come listen to the most talented speech and debate students from across Ontario as they try to qualify for the national championships. 
 
The time commitment for judges is from 9am-3pm. Coffee, tea, snacks and a delicious lunch will be provided. If you can help us out, please contact Andrea Davidson at andrea.davidson@cds.on.ca or Kerstin Wyndham-West at kerstin.wyndhamwest@cds.on.ca 

CDS DECA - Friday, February 6th

The CDS DECA Club is looking for volunteer judges for the Ontario Provincial competition taking place at the Sheraton Conference Centre in Toronto on Friday, February 6th from 8am-5pm with lunch provided. 
 
Judges will have the opportunity to hear from high school students in the areas of Finance, Marketing, Hospitality and Tourism, Entrepreneurship, Human Resources, and Business Management. No experience necessary. Please contact Laura Aldoroty at Laura.aldoroty@cds.on.ca for more information.

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories.
